DIS was well represented at GEMUN 2010 and we are proud of the students' effort and hard work. Many thanks go to Prof. Martina Lundgren for her hard work and enthusiasm. Three DIS students will represent our school at SPIMUN in St. Petersburg, Russia in late March.

Welcome to Deledda International School
groupphoto.jpgDeledda International School, located in Genoa, Italy, is the only four-year international public high school in Italy which offers the  Cambridge IGCSE  Programme (Grade 9 & 10) and the IBO Diploma Programme (Grade 11 & 12). We proudly opened our middle school this year.

As part of the IBO 'family', Deledda International School strives to "develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect." (www.ibo.org, 2002)
Deledda International School is one of 2,870 schools in 138 countries which offers the IBO programmes and DIS students are counted among the 794,000 students worldwide who attend an IBO school.

Things to think about

This is the duty of our generation as we enter the twenty-first century -- solidarity with the weak, the persecuted, the lonely, the sick, and those in despair. It is expressed by the desire to give a noble and humanizing meaning to a community in which all members will define themselves not by their own identity but by that of others. - Elie Wiesel

Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. -Margaret Mead
